Paralegal - Professional Licensing

Job Summary
AECOM?s Corporate Legal team is seeking an extremely detailed and proactive professional who enjoys working on time sensitive material, can handle ever-changing priorities, and has a positive, team-player attitude.
The selected individual will primarily focus on monitoring and providing support on a variety of complex state licensing compliance policies and procedures for the design, engineering, construction and management industry.
Working closely with our Assistant General Counsel, Corporate and other Paralegals, the candidate will primarily support AECOM?s Professional Licensing needs and requirements through:
+ Assisting with the processing and maintaining of state professional licensing and renewal efforts
+ Coordinating with internal clients in determining the needs for professional licenses, identifying responsible individuals and complying with guidelines and procedures
+ Coordinating with and managing external vendor as it relates to professional licensing renewals
+ Providing attorneys and legal staff with information in regards to professional licenses, applications, renewals and reinstatements
+ Developing expertise in state professional licensing requirements
+ Performing extensive legal research and analysis
+ Continuously monitoring changes and evaluating specific activities that may have an impact on the current licenses
+ Preparing corporate documents including secretary certificates, officer and director appointments, resolutions, minutes and other documentation related to corporate secretarial requests
+ Assisting with legal entity maintenance and the preparation of documentation for formations, amendments, withdrawals, mergers and dissolutions of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies
+ Assisting with other corporate legal matters, including time sensitive projects that arise on a day-to-day basis
Minimum Requirements
+ Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program
+ Two or more years paralegal experience at a law firm and/or corporation
+ Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects with time sensitive deadlines in a highly dynamic and high volume work environment
+ Self-motivated and results oriented with ability to work independently and make independent decisions
+ Excellent planning and organizational skills with great follow-through, accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
+ Capacity to problem solve and implement solutions under time sensitive circumstances, collaboratively or independently, and take initiative before issues arise
+ Ability to respond to unique and complex business organization transactions
+ Ability to build trust and effective working relationships across various teams and groups
+ Verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with various departments and personalities within company
+ Ability to perform legal research by identifying and retrieving information necessary to support legal decision-making
+ Ability to deal with multistate regulatory agencies and state licensing departments
+ Excellent judgement and professionalism
+ Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Preferred Qualifications
+ Knowledge of state professional licensing practices (contractors, architectural and engineering) or similar licensing experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
