Senior HR Manager

HCL America is looking for a Senior HR Manager to join our fast growing Products and Platform (P&P) line of business in Chelmsford, MA. We are looking for someone who has strong functional expertise with the ability to think and act strategical and tactical. Our Senior HR Manager will focus on managing, coaching and developing the North America workforce. The role holder will work very closely with our Global HR Lead to successfully implement people agenda. This is key role in our team and we are looking for someone who is passionate about building a high performing workforce.


?Duties and responsibilities:



  • Manages the daily operations of the workforce and all employee impacting processes including but not limited to candidate background, on-boarding, training, immigration, compensation/benefit changes, leaves of absences, bonus and performance management.

  • Manages all aspects of the on-boarding process; regularly assesses opportunities to improve and develop this process with other stakeholders

  • Be a subject matter expert on Performance Management, leave management, benefits administration and Employment law.

  • Conduct exit interview and pull together attrition metrics and trends on regular review and discuss corrective action or give heads up on early warnings.

  • Works in partnership with the HRIS team to seek opportunities to simplify, optimize, modernise and improve processes

  • Champions and leads local policy and process improvement; seeks ways to simplify, create global consistency and automate processes where possible

  • Serves as initial point of contact and liaison between Payroll, Finance and IT and the Employee HR Service team.

  • Work with the Learning and Development team to ensure training needs are appropriately captured and provide feedback to them on training programs conducted

  • Monitors and maintain data input into the HRIS system and ensure its accuracy

  • Manage large data entry projects including but not limited to; merit increases, RIFs, open enrolment benefits election changes, location and project changes, annual sick leave reset, shift pay etc.

  • Conducts regular audits of HR files to ensure compliance




Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities Required:



  • Strong communications skills with all levels in the organization

  • Passionate and innovative

  • Exceptional customer focus

  • Ability to troubleshoot concerns, create solutions and respond quickly

  • Must have demonstrated focus on employee relations

  • Have extensive knowledge or exposure to employment law

  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration

  • Organized and the ability to multitask various objectives

  • Ability to work well with other departments (payroll, legal, finance, admin, Immigration) to ensure a seamless employee experience

  • Master degree or Undergraduate, preferably with concentration in Human Resources or related subjects

  • 8-10 years? experience in Human Resources

  • Prior experience in positions of responsibility preferably managing large workforce in Software Product Industry desirable.

  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred

  • SAP HRIS experience would be an added advantage.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
