Program Manager

Job Description

The Program Manager (PM) will lead cross functional projects from initial concept, through development and verification testing, into manufacturing and product launch. The PM will utilize a wide variety of technical experience and project management expertise in developing project plans which result in predicted quality, cost, schedule, and resource requirements for the successful completion of projects. This project manager should emphasize accurate planning, high quality execution, and on-time achievement of goals resulting in reduced rework and cycle time. Excellent team-leading abilities and interpersonal skills are required for satisfying internal and external customers. Activities involve early interaction with appropriate team members to develop the resource leveled project plans including risk assessment and mitigation and then executing through the development life cycle. Leadership qualities must include the ability to mentor team members in successful PM skills and techniques to make critical judgments and decisions.

The PM will lead and coordinate cross functional teams which may include the following disciplines: Design Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain & Logistics, Manufacturing & Test Engineering, Materials, Planning, Quality, Document Control, Service, Finance, and outsourced Contract Manufacturing partners. The PM will be responsible for delivering high quality, well documented product solutions that meet and exceed the needs of all members of this team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads cross functional teams in developing comprehensive project plans for scope, product and project cost, schedule and performance/quality.

Manages overall project plan of large cross functional projects/programs including optimizing the plan by negotiating content based on priorities, risk, resource, budget and timeframe constraints.

Leads development phase and stage gate checkpoint discussions and activities

Leads team to deliver on all product development checklist items and milestones.

Ensures that all project requirements are met

Creates and maintains project risk management plan

Tracks performance to plan, adjusting to align with shifting priorities and reporting to senior management

Develops solutions to remove project roadblocks

Contributes to the creation and maintenance of PM group and new product development (NPD) processes



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
