Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Pavement Engineer to support our pavement engineering group in the Northeast. The position will ideally be situated in Chelmsford, MA, but consideration will be given to candidates interested in Rocky Hill, CT, or Rhode Island.
The pavement team is a dynamic and innovative group with vast experience in pavement engineering, management and design in aviation, highway/bridge, rail and port transportation markets.
The person we are seeking will help to enable growth of the pavement group through development of proposals, high quality project delivery, and focused client management.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Project or task management of projects including management of staff engineers, schedules and budgets
+ Pavement management experience (may include roadways, airfield, and facilities for public or private clients)
+ Proficiency with MicroPAVER and / or other pavement management software
+ Experience with Microstation or AutoCAD, and ArcGIS
+ Pavement design for roadways in accordance with AASHTO, FHWA and Department of Defense design standards
+ Airfield pavement design in accordance with FAA and Department of Defense standards
+ Heavy duty pavement design (Ports, intermodal facilities)
+ Experience performing Pavement Condition Index surveys in accordance with ASTM standards
+ Experience using or managing Falling Weight Deflectometers (FWD), Video Vans and High Speed Inertial Profilers for pavement data collection
+ Evaluation of FWD and smoothness data for pavement management or design
+ Development of plans, specifications and cost estimates for pavement design projects
+ Construction inspection experience related to paving
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
+ 5+ years of experience
+ Registered professional Engineer
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (pavement focus)
+ Pavement management and design experience
+ NETTCP Certifications
+ OSHA Certifications

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
