# Position: _Quality Engineer_
# Location: _Chelmsford, MA_
# Status: _12 month Contract_

# JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Actively participates in project planning. Establishes project objectives and priorities. Maintains an awareness of quality improvement and product opportunities and is productive in suggesting and testing ideas. Develops and implements quality systems and processes of major complexity.
2. May train, counsel, and guide technicians, technologists, and engineers. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and projects is required. Functions as an effective team leader and promotes harmonious and efficient working relationships.
3. Working knowledge of basic quality systems such as Quality Manuals, ISO-9000, metrology, calibration, process auditing (ISO 9001), statistical Process Control and Capability.
4. Demonstrates computer literacy and a good working knowledge of applicable software. Must be willing to utilize and implement the quality modules to support or SAP system.
# 5. _Demonstrates an extensive knowledge of customer requirements, product performance, and relative performance of competitive offerings._
6. Work tasks encompass concepts within multiple disciplines/practices which may include more than one department/location. Working tasks might include:
+ Maintains and improves quality systems and measurements
+ Provides quality consulting to application engineers and business leaders.
+ Develops and implements quality plans, supplier control, and factory acceptance testing to customer requirements.
+ Investigates quality related issues with customers and engineering department to determine root cause of manufacturing failures, developing a plan of action to address related issues
+ Examines materials issues that are causing product failures, deficiencies, scrap, etc. with vendors and supply chain.
# 7. _Primarily day shift hours with support for off shift operations as needed._
# JOB REQUIREMENTS
+ Bachelor?s degree in an Engineering Discipline, from an accredited university of college.
+ Quality Engineering experience in a plastics manufacturing environment.
+ SAP Quality Module experience.
+ Understanding of process capability measurements and SPC systems.
+ Working knowledge of the corrective action process.
+ Ability to address technical problems with suppliers, and ensure consistent and predictable materials are supplied to the plant.
+ Hearing and Vision check required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
