Construction Specialist Intern (Summer 2018)

Job Description:
CDM Smith?s Chelmsford, MA office is looking for a full time Construction/Civil Engineering Student Intern to join our team for Summer 2018. You'll be working with a dynamic team of industry leading engineers on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects. Students in this construction co-op would be supporting various projects both in the field and the office. Field support could possibly be with setting up a new job ? field measurements/layouts, assisting field crew, and documentation support for superintendent. Office support will include locating subcontract options, checking drawings, contacting vendors for quotes, and general office assistance. You will primarily support the superintendent, project engineer and the project coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of completed coursework and construction experience is preferred but not required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
