CDM Smith?s construction division works in all areas of construction including business development, planning, design coordination, constructability reviews, value engineering, construction management (management, supervision and construction trades), estimating, field engineering and startup on design-build projects in water, wastewater and transportation. The Construction Specialist career path at CDM Smith leads to advancement into a Project Manager role.
In this role you would perform a variety of tasks including:
? Preparing and reviewing submittals
? Issuing construction documents and layout to field crews
? Completing requests for information (RFI)
? Coordinating timely arrival of parts, equipment, construction materials, and installation with field personnel and vendors
? Performing standard estimating tasks such as performing quantity take-offs, creating material price lists, and researching labor, material and equipment costs for these take-offs
? Preparing Project Controls analysis, spreadsheets, and graphics for routine and non-routine project reporting

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor?s degree in engineering, construction management or related degree.
Experience: 0 years related experience in the construction industry; Ability and desire to learn industry practices, processes, design, finance, and management; Strong mathematical background. Basic computation skills required; Able to communicate concepts and ideas to colleagues and clients; performs active listening; Proficient personal computer skills; Basic knowledge of construction terminology.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
