AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Structural Engineer for employment in the Chelmsford, MA office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Support the Structural Dept. with the layout and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
+ Assist in the development of structural technical specifications, plans, elevations, section and details
+ Perform engineering related calculations
+ Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards / practices
+ Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed
+ Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor?s degree in Structural or Civil engineering
+ 0-2 years of experience as a Structural Engineer
+ Ability to work with a diverse team
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Detail-oriented and technical, yet experienced enough to see the big picture
+ Experienced, self-directed professional
+ Must be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work
+ Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
+ Ability to meet quality, schedule and budget expectations
+ Ability to multi-task and be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and deadlines
+ Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
+ Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required
+ Relocation benefits are not provided for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master's degree in related field
+ Experience in the Water/Wastewater Industry
+ Experience with reinforced concrete design, including environmental engineering concrete structures designed in accordance with ACI 350-06
+ AutoCAD proficiency
+ Experience with Autodesk Revit

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
