Materials Engineer Intern (P189960)

Exciting opportunity - Summer Internship in Materials Engineering at Brooks Automation!
Primary intern project will include streamlining an existing tool for calculating gas composition, and make it easier to debug potential contamination issues in the field with cryopumps. Tasks include verifying inputs, improving user interface and validating code results.
Intern will also participate in development and failure analysis activities in the Material Science Department supporting Brooks Semiconductor Solution Group (BSSG). Support activities may include assembly of test equipment, aiding in failure analysis experiments, material qualification testing, and conducting literature searches.
The work will be both investigative and "hands on" in the laboratory and requires working with others both internal and external to Brooks
Type of Degree (In Progress)/Skills/Unique Capabilities:
Candidate must be pursuing a BS in Materials, Mechanical or Chemical engineering, and have had basic materials science coursework (material structures, mechanics, processing).
Experience performing engineering calculations in Microsoft Excel; MathCAD and/or MATLAB a plus.
Experience in operating laboratory instruments and use of tools is required.
Experience with Solidworks or CAD modeling is desirable but not required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
