Systems Engineer - High Performance Computing (HPC)
Overview
Mellanox Technologies is looking for an experienced Solution Engineer (System and Sales Engineer) based remotely in the eastern region of the U.S. As part of the sales team, you'll be responsible for driving Mellanox's end to end technology solutions with High-Performance Computing, Web2.0, Cloud, and enterprise data center customers. This role requires a results-oriented team performer with the motivation and the skill to drive the technical pre-sales process. Some key responsibilities include defining, designing and delivering custom-tailored product demonstrations, responding to RFP/RFI proposals, delivering solution presentations, and offering recommendations on digital and social strategy.
Responsibilities
As part of our Sales Team, a Systems Engineer is responsible for driving Mellanox sales to High Performance Computing and Data Center environments. Mellanox Systems Engineers work closely with the Sales and R&D teams to provide our customers efficient and effective solutions. Candidates must have strong sense of achievement, customer focused attitude, and hands-on expertise:
Pre-sales activities: identifying and winning design opportunities
Project life cycle: definition, design, reviews, coordination of engineering efforts with the factory personnel
Preparing and delivering technical training/presentations
Drive Proof-of-concept engagements. Perform hands-on work with customers during product evaluations and post-sales
Perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and network deployments using new products and features
Put together design guidelines and recommend improvements to customers for the networks they support
Provide feedback to product management and engineering
Keep up-to-date on competitive solutions, products, and services
Author whitepapers on technology and products
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 10
years of network design experience and background in:
Datacenter engineering, networking, or cloud application software development
Understanding of Windows (a plus), Linux (required) and Network System level issues
Technical presentations & architectural design - required
Experience developing Proof-of-Concepts
Ability to travel up to 35% - required
Expert knowledge in the following areas: Network infrastructure design. High Performance Computing - required
Knowledge of competitive products, solutions, and services
Ability to write white-papers
BSCS/CE or equivalent technical degree required
US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the client group they will support
