Summary:
The Manufacturing Maintenance & Repair Technician will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to machines and equipment. To be successful in this role you must be able to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and manufacturing equipment with minimal instruction. This position is responsible for supporting production by troubleshooting and analyzing issues, and equipment failures, and determining root causes to make necessary adjustments and repairs to machinery, regularly inspecting equipment, and diagnosing malfunctions. Applies advanced working knowledge and experience to independently improve maintenance techniques and operations in a highly regulated GMP environment under the guidance and direction of the Maintenance & Facilities Manager. Principal
Responsibilities:
o Troubleshoot/ repair electro-mechanical machine failures by disassembly and inspection of components. o Utilize technical documentation (prints, manuals, specifications, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting. o Determine the root cause of failure and correct condition to prevent reoccurrence. o Review previous failure modes to aid in the discovery of root cause. o Repair failure by examining alternative methods of repair or application. o Follow up on repairs with observation and monitoring of equipment after it is in service to confirm successful repairs. o Manage all phases of repair projects from origination to completion. o Develop, document, and perform predictive and preventive maintenance to maximize time between failures. o Perform checks and mechanical clearances as necessary to ensure proper operation. o Research, develop, and document critical spare parts for equipment. o Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. o Write routine reports and correspondence, and effectively communicate issues to engineers and management. o Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. o Maintain confidentiality. o Work well under pressure and remain flexible to changing demands. o Additional duties as requested by management. Education / Experience Requirements:
o A High School Diploma or Vocational High School Diploma focused on equipment repair with practical experience. o A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role o Has the proven ability to work independently and learn quickly. o Recognizes issues and recommends cost-effective solutions to management.
