Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Remediation Engineer for employment in our Chelmsford, MA or Providence, RI office.
In this role, you will perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer with this office and partner offices throughout the Northeast.
This position would support the Environmental business line, primarily working on CERCLA and Department of Defense (DoD) projects.
Responsibilities of this position, include the following:
Serve as task lead for remediation activities including field oversight of remediation construction (e.
g.
, landfill construction/capping, excavation, air monitoring), remedial design, review and reportingMonitor field QA/QC procedures and development of QA/QC manualsGather and correlate engineering and scientific data using established and well-defined proceduresPrepare technical work plans and reportsPerform unsupervised field tasksReview analytical data for general indicators of quality for routine analyses based on well-defined guidelinesCoordinate with task and project managers, work with on-site subcontractors and field staff, support environmental sampling, data collection, and field documentation.
Understand hazard recognition during environmental investigation and remediation activitiesTravel to various job sites within the USFlexible to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, and commitment to workplace health and safety (H&S) QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental or Civil)4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationValid U.
