Discover your #H2Opportunity Job DescriptionAECOM's US East Region Water Business Line is actively seeking a Regional Drinking Water Technical Leader to provide technical leadership for project, support training and growth of staff, and support strategy and sale of AECOM's services to this designated market sector.
All major US EAST locations will be considered.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serves as the leader of AECOM East Region Water Business Line's drinking water activities, in coordination with region business line leader, market sector leads, and division general manager(s).
This includes providing technical leadership and support to project teams during the execution of projects, driving growth of the Drinking Water practice and business in the US East Region, and providing technical engagement/leadership with clients and the industry during pursuit of Drinking Water opportunities.
Executes the overall drinking water strategy across the East RegionCoordinate with Area Business Unit Managers and Area Market Sector leaders to establish growth strategy and drive growthSupport development of major pursuits and provides technical oversight during development of capture plans that conform to the business development strategy and technical capabilitiesCoordinate with Global Technical Practice to align skills with market trends and to drive strategic technical leadership hiresDraw in technical expertise from across the organization to support pursuitsSupport and develop marketing strategies/plans, anticipates opportunities, and identifies market trends, including directing market research in the Drinking Water end marketWorks with other business line and market sector leaders at the district, region or geography level to ensure strategic business growthHelp to build strong relationships, including interacting regularly with clients, teaming partners, industry groups and stakeholders linked to the market sector, assuring satisfaction with AECOM servicesInteract with project delivery personnel to ensure any service issues are identified and addressed in a proactive mannerServe as an ambassador for AECOM in the Water business line and market sectorSupport the identification and mitigation of risks and commercial terms during the pursuit processSupport developing employees in accordance with AECOM core values and performance management competencies, including managing talent and proactively supporting the performance management processReinforce collaboration and team building, ensures client focus, demonstrates commitment to excellence and innovation, and motivates others to ensure positive morale and engagement.
Ensure that AECOM programs such as Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Ethics & Compliance are an overriding part of the organizational culture.
Continuously build a strong professional network through personal contacts, conference planning and strategy development, WEF/IWA committee participation etc.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements :
BA/BS plus 10 years of drinking water experience, including 2 years of leadership.
Extensive knowledge of the Eastern U.
S.
and North America municipal water marketProven experience in Business DevelopmentSignificant prior experience in municipal, provincial, state or intergovernmental agency projects and sales, including working with officials to establish and achieve business and project goals.
Extensive knowledge of the Drinking Water business and product offeringsPreferred Qualifications :
Master's (MS) in Engineering.
Civil, Environmental or Chemical preferred15
years Drinking Water industry experienceAbility to collaborate with other market sectors as necessary to support cross-discipline/business line/region collaboration.
Anticipate opportunities and trends in the business line, market sector and in adjacent market sectors Ability to broad scan other water related end markets and to assist in strategy developmentAgile response to fast paced, complex work environment and organizational chaAdditional InformationOffered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The salary range for this position typically is $122,000 - $227,000.
Please note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States and compensation data will vary in each location, including higher or lower than the stated rangeDue to the flexible location for this opening, relocation is not being offered for this role.
