The Cannabist Company is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and well-rounded Communications Associate to join our growing team.
This role, under the leadership of the SVP and in partnership with the Communications Manager, will provide support for all communications deliverables, and will play an integral part of the team working to develop impactful communications initiatives across the company's internal and external channels.
This candidate must have outstanding writing skills and be able to adapt these skills to various audience segments and platforms, as well as a willingness to learn.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
Assist the team in developing, managing, and executing all Communications strategies and activities focused on building company, retail, and product brand awareness externally, as well as sharing our company and employee stories internally, to achieve company objectives.
Craft, edit and implement a wide range of content for both employee and external communications, including press releases, social media, employee newsletters, and more.
Provide support for the team on PR activities, managing inbound requests with designated agency coordinating with the appropriate internal stakeholder.
Own and manage corporate social media and employee communications editorial calendars.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and insights, ensuring accurate and consistent messaging across channels.
Support the Brand and Regional Retail Marketing teams to develop integrated PR plans to support product launches and other consumer-facing initiatives.
Stay on top of industry and professional trends to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the team's activities and initiatives.
Regularly update the external, public-facing corporate website and press pages.
Serve as the team's project manager and ensure that deliverables and deadlines are met.
Support the organization of internal and external events.
Manage other administrative tasks as they arise, including:
Create and managing calendar events; Taking meeting notes; and Serving as project management liaison with other teams Ability to work on multiple projects and manage multiple deadlines Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
2-5 years of public relations/communications experience; agency experience preferred but not required Must have stellar written and verbal communication skills Cannabis industry experience a plus, but must have a strong aptitude for learning and quickly adapting to an ever-changing industry Experience working with an external agency partner Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media management tools; project management software a plus Bachelor's Degree T This job operates in an office setting and is largely sedentary, requiring the routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
